According to the Sunday edition of the local newspaper, the membership of the Mahoning County Republican Party jumped from 14,663 to 34,503 as a result of the primary election.

Question
Will the doubling of the membership lead the Republican Party to run candidates in the City of Youngstown?

Jay Williams was sponsored by the republican party when he ran for ytown mayor in 2004. Clarence Smith brought him to the Mahoningvalley boe to introduce him to all republican party employees at the boe. Cs told these individuals jw was the republican party choice for mayor even though the republican party had a registered republican candidate on the ballot.
