Next year, 2005, Youngstown will elect a new Mayor, as well as 3 candidates to the School Board. We need to start now, searching for good "qualified" candidates to represent the Westside and it's interests. If we want the Westside to remain a decent place to live and raise children and enjoy retirement then we have to encourage Westside residents to "step up" to the challenge of representing this Community. Individuals interested must start now to become politically involved, whether it is for next years election or for one in the future, say Councilmember. The first step is to become involved in a Community group such as the Westside Coalition, where you can become aware of the issues on the Westside and meet people who take an interest in this Community and can help.
Westside Coalition Meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Industrial Rd at 7pm.
The next meeting is Sept 14th, where Candidate running for election in Nov will speak.
