Title: Nobody Wants To Redevelop The South Side Bottom Dollar Store
Post by: jay on February 02, 2016, 10:59:01 AM
The city recently requested proposals to redevelop the former Bottom Dollar Store on Glenwood Avenue.  Nobody made an offer for the store.

Last year I patronized three of the farmers' markets located inside the city of Youngstown.  Those were the North Side Farmers Market, the Idora Neighborhood Farmers' Market and the B&O Night Market.  Of these three, the Idora Farmers' Market had the fewest customers.

Note
The Idora Market is located about a half a block away from the Bottom Dollar Store on Glenwood Avenue.

FYI

The North Side Farmers' Market starts this year on Saturday, February 6, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.  Offerings will be limited although the Iron Roots Urban Farm will probably have fresh greens.  Look for a selection of homemade baked goods.
