Title: Tent Camps Under The Bridges
Post by: jay on January 19, 2016, 02:45:52 PM
Last week I drove from the lower end of Belmont Avenue to West Front Street.  I noticed that there are still active tent camps under the Spring Commons and Marshall Street bridges.

Would this small shelter be better than using a tent?

Looks fairly durable - what is it made out of?

Doesn't look like canvas....

The emergency or homeless shelter is made of coroplast.
The designer claims the shelter costs less than $100.

This video is from the designer.

Who's going to buy these and pass them out to the homeless. The reason most of them are homeless is because they have no money or jobs.
