Everybody here! Not to be political one way or the other, but whether you like him or not, Trump has struck a nerve in America today, his denouncing of "Stupid Leaders!" Everyone knows here that for years, I have been fighting and also denouncing Stupid Leaders Locally.

I love Trump - he's the 6,600 pound elephant in the room - and he's not afraid to say what
other politicians won't as far as what's wrong with things like the illegal immigration
problem, etc.
He probably won't get elected, but it's refreshing to see someone who's not afraid to
call 'em like he sees 'em... and "damn the torpedoes.." He's really shaken up the
Republicans and they NEED some shaking up... the Democrats, too.
If he actually DOES get elected, at least he will have done it with his OWN money
rather than lobbyists, corporate donors, etc.

Many of the companies that did business with Trump in the past are treating like a leper today and refusing to do business with him. Mexico is furious with him, and if he is elected, that is going to be a major problem.

I really don't think he'll get elected anyways, but as far as being treated like a leper by

As far as Mexico goes, we should be furious with them for all of the illegals that continue
to flood across the border, drug cartels, corruption that EVEN makes OUR politicians look
halfway good.... and that is no easy task.
Alan, he will be next president, people are fed up with the unqualified so called leaders that slipped in while we weren't paying attention.
If he does get elected, he has some qualifications that could make him a good
president, although his diplomacy will need some working on...LOL
He DEFINITELY knows business and finance, with many years of experience.
He is definitely a tough negotiator.
He strikes me as "hawkish" on national defense and security - this can be good,
when tempered with a modicum of diplomacy.
He has the right attitude on immigration, albeit he has made a few gaffs with
regard to going over the top with some of his statements. It's okay to take a
tough stance on immigration and illegals, but it can be done with a little more
tact.
I've read the pros and cons of birthright by location and the 14th amendment
issue (ie: children of illegals are instant citizens if born on our soil) and agree that
we need to make some exceptions to this rule, as it is being exploited by illegals
as a means of bypassing immigration laws (read: "ANCHOR BABIES"). They've
been doing this for years and neither political party in this country has the balls
to stand up and DO something about it.
DEPORT those who are illegally - even if they have made babies while here. They will
still be the child's parents, that will not change. They will simply be raising them in
their OWN country, not here.
Gillam's are stupid leaders.
And we're fed up to our ears with bloody fools that pass themselves off as great leaders of men, and end up taking residence in the slammer! I'd like nothing better than for once to be able to pick up the bloody paper and not read about the latest investigation of our local corrupt leaders.
TT, are you saying some of the stupid leaders still out there are continuing to commit criminal acts?
Before I moved to my new digs, One whole drawer of a four drawer filing cabnet filled to overflowing with folder after folder of all the corruption in Youngstown since 1990 thru 2013. I didn't bring any of that stuff with me when I made the big move.
Alan, apparently you were not alone in supporting Trump, look at him today.

I don't know about supporting him... I don't plan on voting for him. I agree with some of
his views and ideas... although I think he goes way too far over the edge a lot in his statements
and some of his ideas on how to "implement" them are extreme - and therefore will probably
never happen.
It is, however, refreshing to see a candidate for ANY major political office come out and say how
they truly feel on the issues.... even if they are going overboard with their rhetoric, it's like getting
a whiff of a little fresh air in the cesspool we all know as politics in this country.
It's also refreshing to see someone who is NOT afraid to go after the media when the media
goes after them - again, he takes things too far.... but at least he's got some backbone in him. If
he does get elected by some miracle, the American People will know EXACTLY what they'll be getting
from their next POTUS.

As a young Engineer working in the Submarine Design Office, I was in good humor challenged on what ships the Philippines produce, canoes? My mother is a Filipina, today the Philippines is the 4th largest shipbuilding in the world, we are number 28th.

As I had said, I agree with some of his ideas. He obviously knows and understands business
and finance. This could be a BIG help in the arena of "Economic Policy"
He is a tough negotiator - an excellent trait when it comes to foreign policy, treaties, etc.
I agree with him that our immigration situation is getting to a critical point, and that multiple
administrations from both sides of the aisle have basically done NOTHING to solve the problem.
Our military needs to stay strong and we need to keep our country and our citizens secure.
I agree with him on this as well.
The one thing Mr. Trump lacks is social skills. The leader of the free world should have a bit
more dignity, understand the meaning of the word DIPLOMACY and "act presidental" with regard
to his personal behavior and how he interacts with others.
I DO LIKE the fact that he is straightforward, a tough negotiator, has backbone (a quality sorely
lacking in so many of our politicians these days) etc... BUT I believe that President Theodore Roosevelt
said it best:
"Speak softly - and carry a big stick"
If someone wants to get the cooperation of others, collaborate with them, reach agreements with them,
etc. insulting them with rude language, personal attacks regarding their personal appearance, etc is NOT
the way to get that cooperation.
This is basic psychology 101.
You can point out the shortcomings of others without being bombastic about it, or downright ignorant and
rude with regard to how you come across to the person or persons. The same applies when dealing with
other governments around the globe - and their leaders.
Social skills are just as important to someone who is supposed to be the "leader of the free world". It would
be a shame to see him get elected and bring all of his skills and abilities and goals to the office of POTUS only
to be dismissed as a "clown" due to his personality and demeanor.
Repugnance is NOT a good quality for a president to have.
