Youngstown Slovak Festival

Sunday, August 9
Noon to 8:00 p.m.

Slovak Food, Basket Raffle, Gas Card Raffle

Former St. Matthias Church Grounds

Jay, I didn't know that St. Matthias was ever closed. The church is still open,and still St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church with Masses every Sunday. Two parishes were combined, but unlike the former Sacred Heart Church, the name was never changed.so the official language is St. Matthias Church Grounds.

Yes, the church still exists but it has been renamed Our Lady Of Sorrows.

According to WKTL, the Polka Rabbit will be at the Slovak Festival.

Dinners are served inside the school building.

Single food items are available from tents outside.

I saw the polka rabbit doing the hokey pokey and the bunny hop after one bottle of beer, "golden pheasant" in which was not a pretty site. children and people with heart conditions were wisked away from the entertainment tent when the polka bunny was doing his hip hop dance to the tunes of the hokey pokey and the bunny hop. :o :-X
