Is this possible, is this true??? Yes, I and many others have called in the past for the new Mayor, to banish and fire this Bureaucrat, but can we here correctly say that the City heard our cries?
What I know is that the CDA office moved from the old annex, where Mr. D'Avignon was KING of CDA, now to the Pharmor Bldg., where T.Sharon Woodberry is Boss. What happened, what is the news, what has been exposed?
D'Avignon, and past Mayor Williams, rode the "Youngstown 2010" wave and self proclaimed they knew the answer for Youngstown. Over a decade later, it was a flash in the pan.
So now what is our bright leader, the new good Mayor have in store with the revamped CDA division?
Where, or from whom, or what source, did you hear that he's been demoted? Please, let it be true.
sharon woodbury, chuck sasho , sean mckinney and dave bozonich should be the next heads on the chopping block for this mayor to become and effective working city hall government. these inds. kept thier jobs due to thier kissing up abilities to keep thier jobs.
Several months ago, the Mayor was to merge the economic and CDA departments. Only one of the two heads would be named the Director as I understand it. It seems it was not D'AVIGNON.
Iwasthere, please elaborate ?
By your explanation demoted is not the correct choice of words.
Well , please explain in your words?
"Didn't get a new job" sounds appropriate.
Why the spin? He was Director of CDA for years first under Williams, now CDA and ED merged, two heads, the Mayor selected the better and more qualified one for Director. What does Deputy mean anyway?
At least Nick Engaged TT?

Demoted implies some kind of wrongdoing. This whole thread implies a negative connotation. If you have two qualified people and only one space to fill, one of those people is not going to get the job. Hell, they could have both been equally qualified and a coin needed to be flipped to decide hah. Who knows.
He turned the job down
Nick, I know. First of all D'avignon has no qualifications as a planner, community developer and definitely no background in real estate. But he in the past decade or so managed the Youngstown Land Bank poorly, these are facts.

I have attended council meetings or neighborhood meetings in the past with these individuals concerning city matters that left me less of a fan of theirs due to their answers and lack of professionalism with their demeanor for the people of ytown.
Iwasthere the City is moving forward, we have better leadership like the Mayor at the top and Marty Hume, the Law Director, true we need to get rid of the old unqualified guard.
cronyism must be swept out of ytown cityhall.
Iwasthere, with due respect what are you and your assoc. Doing actively to throw the bums out?
