Title: No Bee Hives

No bee hives on the west side.

I had a report today that the city has asked one homeowner to remove an active bee hive from her property on the west side.  Evidently a complaint was registered by a neighbor.

If she has to move her hive, perhaps she could arrange to have them taken olut to Mill Creek Park's farm in exchange for honey. It wouldbe a win-win for both.

Exactly where in the city ordinances does it forbid keeping bee hives?

That would have to be answered by an attorney versed in municipal law, and none of us since there so many nuances to our city ordinances that would come to play. Next we do not know who or what department told her that she had to get rid of her bees. Next, who made the complaint in the first place? Some people are alergic to bee stings. Many people are fearful of bees. Could it have been someone who is just a plain trouble maker? No matter where you live, you are going to come into contact with bees, so there is no way that you will get rid of them.
