Title: Why Was The City Council Meeting So Long?
Post by: jay on May 21, 2015, 05:52:31 AM
I heard that last night's city council meeting was exceptionally long.  Why was that?   The reason was that city council skipped its first meeting of May because it followed primary election day.

Questions

Why does city council not meet on the day following an election?
Instead of meeting on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, maybe they should meet on the second and fourth Wednesdays to avoid this "election" conflict.
