Jewish center offers programs for adults, teens

YOUNGSTOWN — The Jewish Community Center, 505 Gypsy Lane, is offering three programs for adults and teens.

Jill Rogoff will perform at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the center's Israel Lounge. Cost is $2 for members and $4 for guests.

She plays the guitar, lap harp and sings. Her repertoire includes traditional Celtic and British Isles songs, Jewish music and contemporary material.

Whirlyball in Cleveland

Whirlyball will be played from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Whirly Zone in Cleveland. Whirlyball is a mix between bumper cars and basketball. Transportation is provided and the cost is $25 per person.

A lecture on the "Russian/Soviet Empire" is set for 7 p.m. Oct. 25 in the community center adult lounge.

The free presentation by Brian Bonhomme will look at the history and expansion of the Russian/Soviet empires.
