Some people on this Forum balk at paying $20 for a council candidate's fundraiser.

Consider this

Fourth Ward Councilman Mike Ray is having a fundraiser on Thursday, April 16.

Cost = $50

Which leaves out all but the wealthiest of Youngstown residents.

If he's that desperate for funds, there is always the Cafaro clan to fill his coffers. Plus Old Man Betras could always go through his cliant base to generate a pile of greenbacks. Oh, and there are the Yorks to hit up for a couple of thousand.

He had two fundraisers already and each was very well attended.

The councilman has many yard signs out in the fourth ward.

I haven't seen a single sign for the man running against him.

If Mr is a shoe in for this office. Why is the need for a campaign war chest?
