Maybe, maybe not. I think Vallourec is very hesitant to cut any jobs at its flagship plant right now, but some of their other operations overseas may see some reductions.
Well, it looks like not enough people bought the fracking lies hook, line, and sinker. Folks finally figured out the pro-frackers were simply selling a pig in a poke!
Maybe we can finally build green alternative energy plants and put people back to work constructing things that don't harm the soil and water....and our health.....
Its not a pig in a poke, its economics. There are three commodities being drilled for, crude oil, natural gas and wet gas. Around here we are drilling for wet gas, and that is not sold as a fuel. Once the price of crude oil rebounds the drilling and exploration will continue.
Precisely - it's the economy and the market. If sales of the Cruze, etc. were
to get very slow I'm sure GM would cut hours and/or positions at the Lordstown
assembly plant.
