Pre-election Campaign Report
Community Bill of Rights (supports Youngstown anti-fracking charter amendment committee): Had, $4,229; contributions, $2,513; spent, $3,473; has, $3,268; in-kind, $1,005.
Committee for Responsible Redistricting (pro-Youngstown ward consolidation): Had, $0; contributions, $1,253; spent, $220; has, $1,033; in-kind, $442.
Did the election report state what the "Vote No" people spent against both of these issues?
I've already received two robo calls and three postal mailings from the anti-CBR group. In addition, there are dozens of yard signs, door hangers and radio commercials.
The "Vote No" ward reduction group has yard signs all over the place and they have distributed large red and white cards on cars windshields.
This was all that was in the paper.
As to the anti-five, I'm no gambler, but one thing is certain, and that is if they win that it will be back on the ballot next year, and the groups that were pushing it had better file reports or there will be legal action taken against them, and some people will find themselves in the slammer making license plates. If the Grand Jury had to investigate every Black preacher, and the folks at the Buckeye Review, as well as the Youngstown Warren Black Caucus, so be it.
