At 6pm, a male robbed the Family Dollar Store at 4030 Market St. in the Newport area. He was described as a 6ft black male wearing a white scarf, pj bottoms and a black jacket.
Also at 6:24pm, a 6ft black male was seen trying to break into cars at the old Altel building on Market Street near 224. Unknown if the two incidents are related.
