Post by: jay on September 18, 2014, 05:45:00 AM
Our city is being asked to provide an incentive package for movie producers.  The proposed incentives would include a float loan.

Nope - let them get their own money like real film producers.

City of Youngstown doesn't have that kind of money to waste.

What 99.999% of the people fail to realize is the fact that these flicks are shown once or twice then tossed into a heap never again to see the light of day. Money wasted and for what? A cheap thrill for the people who make it into the flick, and nothing else.

This individual has been talking with the city for years.  he Wants Money up front with no projects in hand.
He has no potential projects but wants the city to just give him money
He has been trying this for about 5 years now
