Title: New Way Verses Old Way
Post by: jay on September 15, 2014, 05:44:53 AM
The leadership of a west side club changed a few years ago.  The new leader was into social media and converted all communications with the club's members to this new method.  It only took a few months for the new leader to realize that attendance at meetings had fallen off.

About two months ago, someone suggested that the club should go back to the old method of sending out post cards as a meeting reminder.  The old communication method was tried again and guess what?  Attendance at the very next meeting more than doubled.

Seriously Jay, for all the interest in the modern modes of communication, the old ways still are the best. More personal.
