What a pathetic joke! Crea still is in jail and has yet to have his mental evaluation which means that he will spend election day in the slammer. Can you in your wildest imagination picture what the national press would say about Youngstown if he were to win? No doubt that such a win would be challenged in the courts.
YOUNGSTOWN ELECTS ADMITTED INSANE MAN MAYOR

The poor soul is troubled. I wish the newspaper would quit wasting print space on his problem.
Former Mayor Marion Barry, the mayor of Washington DC, ran for public office after being caught on
camera smoking crack by an undercover sting operation. It was all over the news, of course, and
quickly forgotten afterwards - and this was the mayor of our nation's capital.
Crea's name should be removed from the ballot on the grounds that he is unfit to serve the city as
its Mayor. In the unlikelky event that he gets elected, there would probably be a recall election
to remove him from office.
Either way, mental problems are not something he can be faulted for or blamed for. If therapy and meds
are able to render him a sane and rational human being and he refuses to get help and take his meds,
then he IS accountable for THAT.
