Now here is a perfect example of how things can be done here in Youngstown. Its people like this and our Rick that are preserving our history.

Leave it to the Polish to save a city that many others want to abandon.

Your church picture doesn't look at all like the photo in the newspaper story.  Is the current church a replacement?

Truth be told, I was part of the Brier Hill Cultural Center effort and served as one of the founding board members and treasurer up until a month ago.  At that point I resigned and two other board members shortly followed suit.  The president of the organization would go for long periods of time ignoring half of the board and in the month leading up to the finalization of the purchase just absolutely refused to update us three as to what was going on.  As someone who was to become the "facilities manager" for the BHCC, I had a long list of stuff that I was to do as soon as we got possession.  But I had no way to judge as to when that would happen due to the information blackout.

I wish them the best in their endeavor, but if the way that BHCC treated half of their board is any indication of how they will do business, I don't give them much hope of success.
