Title: NNO Parade Observations
Post by: jay on August 07, 2013, 10:29:39 AM
The National Night Our Parade made a trip around Wick Park yesterday afternoon.

Mayoral candidate John McNally walked in the parade.

Mayoral candidate Frank Bellamy drove a Lexus SUV.

Councilwoman Gillam road in a car.

President of Council candidate Susie Beiersdorfer walked in the parade and she also picked up litter along the way.

President of Council candidates Sammarone and Travers did not attend.

A close friend of mine attended this event and overheard the Youngstown Police Chief telling folks that the Mayor hates parades and refuses to be in them.

I heard that Travers WAS there but was 'called' away for some reason - it must have been important - he had a fund raiser that evening downtown.  I know someone there that had his T shirt on  8)  that person also picked up trash  8)
Has Sammarone EVER attended 'any kind of event' in Youngstown - even when he WAS President of Council  ???
Susie is one of the nicest people I know and literally does anything - including picking up trash AND planting trees among other things for the improvement of Youngstown  :-* as does Travers  :)
