Title: Problems On Salt Springs Road
Post by: jay on May 15, 2013, 06:21:52 AM
People on Salt Springs Road near Elberen are complaining about a neighborhood bar that is causing problems and is attracting drug activity.  The bar is creating excessive noise when it plays music in the evening.  Neighbors state that they have witnessed numerous drug deals both on the street and in the parking lot.

Have they complained to the police? Which ward are they in, and have they complained to their councilman?

For the sake of the neighbors, I hope that this problem is corrected before anyone gets hurt or killed. When something like this is happening the police and the State Liquor Control Board must come down hard on the owners of the bar up to and including shutting them down. No one can convince me that the owners aren't aware of what's happening.

the neighbors reap the benefits that they sowed in their neighborhood. they did not want a gay bar in their neighborhood. so, they pressured the owner of the bldg to revoke their lease due to the bar was one week late with the rent check that is the rest of the story as paul harvey would say.

iwasthere,

Are you saying that a nice quiet gay bar was banished from the building and replaced with this alleged nuisance bar?

Can't be sure Whytown, as iwasthere's posts read like riddles.  Between the incomplete thoughts and grammar this could have any number of meanings, or it could be incoherent ramblings.

At our house both of us have an equal command of the English language.  She does proofread documents before they go out for publication though.

May I suggest a few of them go down to MVOC and let MVOC give them some suggestions on what to do in a situation like this.  One and a very important suggestion is to DOCUMENT and DOCUMENT and DOCUMENT - what 'public official' said what to whom - how many times were the police called and how many times did they come out and how many people called each time.  Organize - Be TOGETHER for a common goal.   I helped close down "THE HOLLYWOOD TAVERN"  when the 7th Ward had a REPUBLICAN Councilman - here again alot of this is in The State's Domain"  I wish them well - Please keep us informed.
