Here is something most of you were unaware of, and my question is how will this affect the showing of films that we've enjoyed these past summers?
Certainly none of the movies that were shown are new first run films so they are still on the traditional format and no doubt the distributors will continue to maintain a library of the older films in the 35 mm and 70 mm format, but their days are numbered, and then it will no longer be profitable for distributors to keep these old films in stock, since the bulk of their customers are movie theaters that have or are converting to the digital format.
