I just wish more voters attended these candidates' forums.   If people only rely on campaign literature, they will never really know much about a candidate.

Unfortunately many of us simply can't get out to these meetings due to schedule conflicts. Also, many of these forums are scheduled at times and locations that are inconvient.

When Dan Ryan was alive and doing his talk show he would bring on each candidate and interview him for at least half the program's three hours, and his questions were tough. Dan Rivers schedules forums where all the candidates are in their studio and has at them, but this is usually a one shot deal which is unfortunate.

Thankfully the Vindicator does a bang up job of covering the political scene, and it's editorial staff is not afraid to uncover the skelitons in the candidates closets.

As to most folks in the valley keeping themselves informed, most simply vote along party lines and for the names they are familiar with without looking any further, hence we have an uninformed electorate, and it shows in the quality of the people that emerge the winners.

I wonder how many people will vote for him.

Here's a link with some audio of him speaking. Luckily(?) there's text because he's basically unintelligible.
