The $10.00 donation to enter includes food and drink. There will be a Chinese Auction, a 50/50 raffle, prizes and, of course, non-stop Monopoly.
Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted is located at 517 Belle Vista Ave. Youngstown, OH 44509.
If you have a Monopoly set you would be willing to donate for the event, please drop it off at the cat shelter at 2217 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, OH 44509. Gift baskets and donations are also welcome.
West Side Cats is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue and adoption facility. Cats and kittens are rescued from nearby pounds and humane societies where they are scheduled to be put to sleep as well as from homeless and abusive situations. It is one of the few shelters that take in and adopt out disabled cats.
The shelter advocates spaying and neutering. All animals up for adoption have been fixed.
The shelter relies on the community it serves for financial support and volunteers. They welcome visitors during adoption hours which are Tuesday through Friday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm and Saturday from Noon to 6:00pm. Their cats and kittens may also be adopted from PetSmart in Niles.
