Title: Historical Item Auction
Post by: Tim Sokoloff on November 12, 2012, 05:39:05 PM
A 1918 Time Card Rack, A WWII hand made basket from a local company that was put out of business by plastic replacements. The Grand Canyon Ballroom light from the former majestic Voyager Hotel once located in Downtown Youngstown. Jim Esposito who is now President of Gotham Hotels Intermational got his start at that hotel, and yes we have emailed him about the auction so we hope he will bid on a piece of his own history, but it is Youngstown and Mahoning County history as well.
The auction will also include several antiques including view master reels, tools and other items. ALL of the proceeds, minus ebay fees will go to save and revitalize the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company Homes.
The link below will take you directly to the auction listing, there are 80 items total, 36 of them historic or antique in nature. Good luck with the bidding and we hope you all find these great pieces of valley history to be worth bidding on.
