A charter amendment on the ballot in Youngstown last Tuesday was to set the city's official time to coincide with the federal government's definition of official time.
To my surprise, 5,672 people voted against the time change language.
Maybe the 5,672 are stuck in a time warp from another era.
???
Actually, I think that it was a case of ignorence of the issue due to insufficient publicity. Many folks take little notice of the issues unless they are tax issues that affect their pocketbook.
It's a bloody crime that 100% of the voters don't see things our way 100% of the time, at least the four charter amendments passed by healthy margins.
The level of voter ignorance this election set new world records.
