In the election of 1808 James Madison became the first President that the men of Youngstown had the chance to vote for.
And if he wasn't a Democrat they probably didn't vote for him.... :laugh:
This area actually was heavily Republican during much of our heyday. When an area declines it shifts Democrat, and that assures that the area never recovers.
