OK, I will.

The west side councilman drives a locally made fuel efficient Chevy Cruze.

Okay, I will, too.

7th Ward Councilman John R. Swierz is the person responsible for bringing the City Watch phone messaging system to the city. It is capable of a lot more than what it is used for but is restricted by its being in the Police Department which sets valid limitations on it.

Also, he is responsible for passage of the 1998 (?) legislation to create the landlord registration program. Due to poor mayoral leadership, this was not implemented for over a decade.

He is also responsible for pushing for the updated city plan known as Youngstown 2012. Former Mayor Jay Williams was not the author of this as many believe. In his paid, city position at the time, it was Williams' task to promote the program which he did very effectively, but he was not the author of the plan. John has not been given credit on his role in the plan.
