At a recent neighborhood meeting, a resident complained about teens using a basketball hoop at a vacant house at all hours of the day. The constant noise of dribbling, backboard hits and loud talk were more than the neighbor could stand.
The neighbor went on to say "there is only one thing keeping these kids out of the NBA"..... "High School"
I doubt high school has much effect on kids that are playing basketball all hours of the day. Maybe it's an exageration.
I knew a guy with the same problem though, his solution: he took down the backboard. IIRC, he sold it for $25 to someone that didn't live near him
The neighbor is trying to get the owner of the vacant property to remove the basketball hoop.
