Question
How many residents care enough about Youngstown to actually attend these meetings?
Some meeting notes
One commission member arrived 45 minutes late and has already stated that he will not be able to attend the next Charter Review Commission meeting.
The Commission wants to know if it has access to a city supplied secretary to take the minutes of its meetings.
Will the Commission have a budget for expenses?
Two commission members stated that they did not realize just how many meetings they were expected to attend.
Charter copies downloaded from the internet were not the same as the charter copies handed out at the meeting.
Many commission members were not aware of the city's organizational structure.
Many commission members did not know how to get to the council caucus room after city hall closes at 4:00 p.m.
Some commission members lacked a working knowledge of the Youngstown City website.
Good Lord! These people are going to be making decisions that could change the City's structure of government that has been around since the 1800s???
Some friendly advice for them..... A) Don't ask for money at the second meeting. and B) Learn how to get into the building. Baby steps here, baby steps...
Useless ... totally useless.
Perhalps some Elementry school children can teach those folks how to use a computer.
