Now that the Mahoning County Sheriff's Department will no longer provide video arraignments, the City of Youngstown is faced with a problem.  Will the city have to pull two officers from their beats to travel to the county jail to pick up the prisoner, drive to the courts at city hall for arraignment, and then transport the prisoner back to the county jail?

I'm sure this problem will be addressed at the safety committee meeting.

What are the city's options?

Someone suggested that the judges should take a bailiff and stenographer to the jail every few days and do the arraignment there.
