Was the home demolished to make way for the church?
Nope - the thing that makes this old mansion special, is that it IS the church - it was remodeled and converted
into what we see as the church building. An architect was brought in to re-make the house. A lot of the original
fine woodwork, etc was saved and re-used to make the church.
if you look at the peaks in the roof, and the overall shape, you can see it's the same building, with a lot of work
done on it.

This is the building to the south of the Arms Museum, correct?
Yes... it is south of the Olive F. Arms house.
