If YSU really needs the Hood Electric Building, why not swap it for the Salvation Army Building? The structure was originally built as a storage building and has freight elevators. Since Mr. Grenga is only storing equipment anyway, the Salvation Army Building would not have to be heated. Reinstall window coverings, paint the exterior of the building, fix the interior as needed, and you have a fine storage facility.
Another building swap was recently in the news. The city swapped the Sheet & Tube Office Building in Brier Hill, which had been used for storage by the Gasser Chair Company, for another usable building.
How about the swip YSU had with Woodside (State Of Ohio) and Lincoln Place ?
Jay: Who owns the old Salvation Army building? The last I heard WRTA was talking about tearing it down, so I thought they owned it, and if that's the case, and they own it, how could the city give it away to someone else?
what's this about YSU swapping the Hood Electric building?
Jay here's a thought, It will not happen!
Salvation Army is going bye bye this summer!
