Here finally is the strange Renner ad that I was talking about. The year was 1898 at Thanksgiving time.

Got curios on this. So I looked this up. I couldn't find the connection to Budweiser but I did sort of remember the name Renner.
And after reading the history I guess I should have. At one point I lived a few hundred yards from the brewery.

I know. I've looked thru a couple of hundred Vindicator's and saw an equal number of Renner ads, but none were like this one which ran November 20, 1898 ... a full half page.

The only thing that I can think of was that Budweiser made Renner stop using the name even though Renner called it "Yellow Band Budweiser".
