At least they are saving the facade, so the Federal St. streetscape won't be further degraded.  And, I'll be interested to see whether it becomes a successful outdoor venue.

It's sad to see this piece of Mahoning Valley history go, but I think we all knew that it was too far gone to be salvaged at this point.  I'm glad that the facade will be preserved and I hope that the site will become a successful outdoor venue.  Hopefully in the future, there will be a possibility of a new building incorporating the historic facade being constructed on the site.

Here in the DC area, they do that all the time - the take the facade from a historic old row house, etc and
build a brand new building onto it from behind... really cool effect...
