No offense to anyone, but today's local parades are pathetic when we consider what they were like in earlier years.

When Youngstown Had Huge Parades Downtown

For all occasions they were bigger and better.

Can you ever invision a Youngstown parade now ever getting 80,000 people downtown to see it? And that parade was at the height of the Great Depression.
