The Youngstown City Schools are closed again due to the weather.
:'(
In 1950 after the Thanksgiving blizzard, once the roads were cleared, the schools reopened whether sidewalks were cleaned or not, and at that time the city schools were not running school busses around picking up students like they do today. I forget just how many days the schools were actually closed, but I'm sure that there are folks out there who can fill us in.
This isn't a blizzard ... the kids today have the advantage of school buses that we didn't so what's the deal?
How many kids are ramming the streets or playing outside today?
