Errant gunfire has East Siders on edge

Unfortunately there are fewer block watches on the east side than any other side of town.

That"s the sad part of it ... folks are too afraid to get involved. The East side is just as bad as the South Side crime wise, but unlike the South Side it doesn't have areas where decent folks live in large enough numbers to make a difference.

Not to mention that the East Side is a lot more spread out - always has been.  Lots of smaller neighborhoods, separated by wooded areas, etc.
