What can we do about the traffic pattern of Rt. 224 westbound entering Canfield?

Instead of narrowing to one lane, keep it 2 to the intersection.

Add more signs educating the merging lane that they must yield and have the police ticket those that would speed down to the one lane and not yield.

Does the traffic pattern for the Westbound Rt.224 traffic entering Canfield bother anyone else?  Why wasn't the merging lane left open clear to the light by the gas station?  Most people don't yield and force their way into the through lane.  Most people turn left anyway.  Why wasn't it made a left turn only lane upon entering Canfield?  What can we do to get this fixed?
