  Why is everyone "mum" about this incident? What's the rest of the story?

According to the Youngstown Homicide Map For 2010, this was murder No.14 for this year.

A man was also shot during this homicide.  According to the newspaper story, this same man was shot a few months ago.

I'm not sure where he lives but he sure seems to invite trouble.

People on the west side have told me that many landlords don't really care to whom they rent.  The west side already has way too many rental properties in their opinion.  If landlords don't conduct sufficient background checks, tenants of dubious character end up living in an otherwise tranquil neighborhood.  Then problems start.

I just have to wonder what bearing the ownership of the house has to do with the homicide.

Was the home where the shooting took place a rental property?

There is a report that a young woman was shot and killed at a home on the west side.
