To accelerate government collaboration and efficiency in Northeast Ohio, the Fund for Our Economic Future, a collaboration of philanthropies working to strengthen the region's economic competitiveness, introduced the EfficientGovNow awards program.   

Through it, the Fund asked our region's government leaders to collaborate to create ideas for efficiency projects. The incentive? $300,000 in funding from the philanthropic collaboration.

Hundreds of government officials across the 16 county region responded with ideas to help Northeast Ohio governments increase collaboration, save money and enhance the economic strength of the region.

EfficientGovNow has named nine finalists, including:

By the Mahoning River Corridor Mayors' Association – Cities of Campbell, Girard, Youngstown, Niles, Struthers, Warren, Newton Falls and Villages of Lowellville and McDonald.
Now, the residents of Northeast Ohio get to choose which three projects most deserve a piece of that $300,000.

The leaders of the Cities of Campbell, Girard, Youngstown, Niles, Struthers, Warren, Newton Falls and Villages of Lowellville and McDonald ask for your support.

Cast your vote on line at EfficientGovNow.org, or by phone at 1-877-771-5206 before July 31st.
Mail-in paper ballots are also available at each city and village city hall.
