I burn coal to heat my garage (and I think of Dennis every time I light a fire)
drive old inefficient trucks
use incandescent light bulbs (while I can)
drilled out the restrictor plate in the low flow shower head (done that in a couple of hotel rooms too!)
cut down trees (Timberrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!)
run internal combustion engines for hours just to listen to the beautiful sounds they make
I only recycle those things that I get paid for (steel, copper, aluminum).  Everything else goes in the trash.

All my lights are CFLs........

My washer runs only with full loads......

I multi-task when using my american made cars....running many errands  at the same time.

I walk to the store and local library when the weather permits....

I have low flow shower heads....

I have one light turned on all night so the children can see to the bathroom....

I donate my leaves to compost piles

I recycle

I buy all-american clothing over the internet, thus saving on driving to Old Navy and buying t-shirts from Vietnam....

I participate in Treez Please, Clean-up Youngstown Days, plant flowers and trees for Streetscape.... I am involved with the Grey to Green Renewable Energy Festival in Y-town....

and I don't own a HDTV and never will.....
What do you do?

Dennis:

Just curious, but just how many of the things you advocate do you actually pratice at home?

Example: Solar panels, the car you drive, etc.

Do you have an energy hog HDTV? What kind of car do you drive? Front load or top load washer?

Do you turn off the power strip when your computer is not in use. [It's consuming power unless you do, wasted power at that.]

We lead by example, not by words alone.

You can hug a tree if you invest in solar and wind power.

Coal is not an option. There is no such thing as clean coal!!!!!

Just burning dirty coal which leads to mercury poisoning, birth defects, etc......
