So, my insurance company and HMO Guru should tell me when I can and can not see a doctor or have a procedure done?????? People who decide how your doctor should practice medicine based on their the company's profit base?

ytowner

Nobody in my family is rich and we all have quality health care. I do not want any bureaucrats telling me when I can and when I can't see a doctor, or what doctor I can or cannot see. It's socialism!

Dear God. When do we as Americans look at ourselves in the mirror and say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

I condemn all state and federal elected office holders who take money from any lobbyist......be it health care or the environment!

That wasn't the point Dennis.

The fact is that both health care and environmentalists as well as the manufacturers of "Green" products use lobbyists and you certainly wouldn't condemn them.

You call for more government spending on issues that the Green Party supports, and that is your Constitutional right, any you know that unless there's something in it for our legislators they won't give the organizations the time of day.

Its a crime that it has to be this way, but so long as the very legislators that are on the receiving end of the lobbyists largeness, nothing will come forward in the way of reform.

Did I not call out BOTH democrats and Republicans for taking lobbyist money?

Strange Dennis, you complain about lobbyists paying off politicians when it comes to health care but say nothing about the lobbyists who shell out cold hard cash to politicians when it comes to environmental issues. In either case doesn't that make our legislators little more than to borrow a phrase from a Congressman who used the term on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives, "common prostitutes".

Isn't it also strange that the Democrats cursed the lobbying firms on "K" Street when the Republicans were in power, but are defending them now that they're in control?

In either case, whether it's health care or the environmentalists, or "Big Oil", or "Big Coal" or any other "Big" you can possibly think of, there's little likelihood that the practice will ever stop let alone be brought under control.

It's talked to death, and committees in both houses investigate it, but in the final analysis, little more is done.

True a very small handful of Congressmen and Senators go to jail or get kicked out of office but the practice goes on, and I suspect that if the Green Party were to get any significant number of their members elected to Congress that they too would quickly have their hands out.

irishbobcat

Just like a conservative, keep quality health care in the hands of the rich......

If it is true lobbyists are saving America from socialism, all the praise to them!

Lobbyists Help Democrats and Republicans Kill Universal Health Care

The Washington Post reported this past weekend how lobbyists play hired guns to our Democrats and Republicans in Congress by using huge lobbying dollars to help defeat
any type of movement on Health Reform.

Ohio Republican Congressman received $257,000. Democrat John Dingell of Michigan received $180,000. Senate Republican received John McCain received $546,000, and Senate Democrat Max Baucus received $413,000.

Green Party members refuse to accept any donations from Lobbyists or PACS. We are for the working the people, not special interest groups. Next time you see a Green Candidate on your ballot, you know your vote will go to solving problems for the working class in America and not Special Interest America.
