How to get the Black Vote!  How to understand the Black Vote... "PART ONE"

The Black Vote is probably one of the most sought after prizes in politics today.  The Black Vote only makes up a small portion of the total votes needed to win most any election but the perception of having the Black Vote gives an appearance of political strength and acceptance.

The appearance of having the Black Vote is only important to people who are Not Black and the news media.  Accept this statement as a fact from me; "Black Voters are far more sophisticated than you would ever think."  Black Voters are Americans first that just happen to be Black.  Sure, Black people have different cultural needs and desires but those are things that all Americans want.

The one thing that the Black Vote does consistently is to vote in blocks for Democratic Party candidates and this is only by default not by political campaigning.  Blacks vote for the Democrats because no one else courts them politically.  There is a great American assumption the all Black Voters are Democrats...to the contrary, most Blacks are Independent thinking in their political associations and more conservative in their views on political ideology.  Keep in mind that; "Black Voters are Americans first that just happen to be Black."

THE MEAT OF THIS POST:

What "Not to Do" in going after the Black Vote;  Black people like many others think in terms of conspiracy in their view of the actions of others.  So when a Politician or Elected Official attempts to put a "Black Face" on their campaign through hiring, donating money to Black Churches and attending Black Cultural events Black people become very suspicious.   Why?...because Blacks are accustomed to being ignored politically but courted during the election season.

There is No One Black [person or group] Spokesman, Leader or Representative of the Black Vote both locally and nationally.  Donating money to Black Church Pastors, Black Politicians, Black Media Personalities and Black Political Hacks are all just wasted attempts that will buy you very little or no Black Votes. In creating a political buzz in the Black community it must start from the Street Levels First to be accepted as legitimate to the Black Voters.  That sounds a little strange but that is the way it works.
