It's voter apathy. Shame on us. The French can turn out almost 90% and we are shocked if we turn out 40%.

The question should be, how can we convince those running for office to look us in the face and tell us the absolute truth, the whole truth, and nothing less under pain of being dragged down to the public square by the hair on their heads and given a sound horse whipping.

Just look at what's happening right now ... the politicians are already campaigning for next years Presidential election, and combined there isn't one that's worth a plug nickle.

The whole lot are nothing but a gaggle of liars and we are absolute fools to believe a word they say.

You want to know why so few get out to vote? Just look at  what we have in Columbus and Washington.

Do you seriously think they give a darn about what you think? They'll look you streight in your two good eyes and lie through their teeth.

And the same is true for those that run their campaigns.

Why is there such a difference in the total number of votes cast in the wards?  For example, there were only 605 votes cast in the first ward while there were 1,633 cast in the fifth ward.

Is there greater citizen apathy in the first ward?
Should an effort be made to get the vote out?

Are there just fewer people living in the first ward?
Is it time to redraw the ward boundries?
