People in Pennsylvania can set their tap water on fire. An explosion in a Texas State Park destroyed over 100 acres. Just over a year ago, the BP oil spill devastated coastal communities. ALL BECAUSE OF DRILLING!

Tell your elected officials that they shouldn't trust Big Oil and Gas with Ohio's most precious parks, preserves, forests and Lake Erie. Tell them to vote no on drilling in public lands and the Great Lakes!

We know not to believe the slick PR stunts of Big Oil and Gas, because there is so much proof that drilling isn't safe. But our state legislature and Governor Kasich are fast tracking efforts to drill in our state lands -- some members of Congress are trying to open our public lands and Lake Erie to drilling too.

Tell your legislators at the Ohio Statehouse and on Capitol Hill that our public lands are not for sale and should remain protected from drilling for generations to come.

Even when no mishaps occur, drilling can leave a sizable and permanent scar from clear cutting, erosion, habitat destruction, and water contamination. Drilling in these lands is a broken promise, because they were set aside for people -- not for industry profit.

Please send an email today to your elected officials asking them to vote against drilling in our state and national parks and Lake Erie.
