Title: Artist of the Ward Bakery Building - Where to Go Next?
Post by: jay on April 25, 2024, 09:29:56 PM
The new owner of the former Ward Bakery Building on Mahoning Avenue has asked the artists to vacate the building.

Forum Members,

Can you think of any other building to which the artists could move?

Suggestions please.

Suggestion

Use an old school building for studios for the artists.  Each artist could have their own classroom space.

There are still a few old school buildings that were originally part of church properties.

Perhaps the former Sam Camens Center, 1080 Salt Springs Road, could be divided into several studio spaces.

I believe the Adams School building on the south side is still empty.  Perhaps a portion of this building could be used by the artists.

The Eastern Gateway building in downtown Youngstown will soon be vacated.  Could the artists move into that space?
