A very good place to start would be the Salvation Army. I'm certain that they would welcome your help. They could also guide you select the things that would be needed.

Another worthwhile group would be the St Vincent dePaul Society.

Good Afternoon all!

I am working on a few things this Christmas that will benefit our neighbors in Youngstown. I am trying to provide them with a good Christmas breakfast and various gifts.

Does anyone know of any social welfare organizations in the area that would be able to assist with different food, clothing and gifts ?

And, I am looking to work on the MacDonnell park in the spring of 2011, this area is located on Wick avenue between Saranac and Tacoma avenue, what programs could help with this? Would it be worthwhile to revive this particular park again?
