You're right Westsider ... After reviewing the original, the date on it was 5/26/54.
I didn't blow it up till after I cropped it and lost the date.

Sorry to be picky, but I think the second pic is from the early 50's.  I think I remember reading a Vindy article stating that this bridge opened in 1950.

Sometimes I wish I could visit the late 40's and early 50's. (mid-late 20's would be interesting, too)  We still took care of our cities then, and we hadn't started tearing down almost every other building to make room for parking.
