A friend called about a half hour ago and said one of the dollar stores on Mahoning Avenue had a fire today.
I passed by this burned out building today. Crews were removing boxes of merchandise and placing most of them in dumpsters.
According to a story in the newspaper, this store is going to be rebuilt.
The cost of repairs is approximately $300,000.
I passed by this store today. All of the east wall panels have been removed exposing the steel frame structure.
Update
The east, west and back exterior wall panels have now been removed. Also, the front windows have been removed.
The front of the building has now been removed.
This property is turning into a real mess.
Now the exposed fiberglass insulation from the roof area is falling off and blowing all over the property and onto the street, sidewalk and neighboring yards.
Now the roof is being torn off the building. There is much more fiberglass insulation blowing around the property.
Today a crane was used to remove the beams from the roof of the building.
All of the steel framing has now been removed. The only thing still left standing is the short brick front wall. The wall is about three feet high.
New beams are now on the ground waiting to be installed.

Pallets of exterior building panels are now stacked at various locations on the property. These should be installed soon.

Workers were installing panels on the front today.
There is now a roof on the building.
Panels for signage have been installed on the front of the building.

Dollar Tree opening soon
The front exterior has now been painted. Shelving is now inside the store.
A small crew was sealing the parking lot this morning.
Yellow lines have now been painted on the parking lot.
The store's shelves are now being stocked with merchandise.
The large Dollar Tree sign has been installed on the front of the building.
Painters were applying green paint to the trim today.
