Mental problems and guns should not go together.

Youngstown police and the Mahoning Valley Crisis Response Team surrounded a house on Glacierview Drive in Youngstown and arrested a man inside.
A call came in to police around noon Sunday of shots fired in the area. Police arrived on the scene and discovered people standing outside the house at 545 Glacierview Dr. Witnesses said Wallace Heck discharged a handgun inside the house, shooting at the floor. The people inside the house were able to leave and call police.
Police and the CRT surrounded the house and established communication with the suspect. A short time later he came out with his hands up.
"Our negotiators were able to reach him on a cell phone and just explain to him what was going on. He agreed to just come out," said Commander John Elberty. "Everything was no problem, there was no incident with the arrest. He came out with complete and total compliance."
The man was arrested and taken to Saint Elizabeth Health Center for an evaluation
